Last Updated: March 2026 Applies to: All NIMO PC Models
Symptoms: Your laptop feels very slow when browsing the internet, pages are choppy (in Edge, Chrome, etc.), or speed tests show unusually low Mbps (e.g., 50 Mbps) even when connected via an Ethernet (CAT 8) cable.
Resolution: If your NIMO laptop is experiencing network bottlenecking while other devices in your home are getting high speeds (e.g., 800+ Mbps), please follow this troubleshooting protocol:
Update Network Drivers: The most common cause of Wi-Fi and Ethernet throttling is outdated network adapter drivers. Please visit the "Driver Downloads & Manuals" section of our Help Center to download and install the latest WLAN and LAN drivers for your specific NIMO model.
Check for Background Updates: Windows might be downloading massive updates in the background. Go to Settings > Windows Update and see if an update is currently hogging your bandwidth.
Contact Support with Details: If the speeds do not improve, please email
service@nimopc.comand include:Your exact speed test results (Download/Upload).
Confirm if this happens on both Wi-Fi and direct Ethernet connections. Our tech team will evaluate if the internal network card requires a warranty replacement.
