Applies to: Customers initiating an RMA for a device that won't boot
Symptoms: You are preparing to return a faulty laptop, but the device is stuck in the BIOS utility screen and will not boot into Windows. You are concerned about your personal data, passwords, and PINs remaining on the drive.
Resolution: Protecting your personal privacy is NIMO’s highest priority. We have strict data-handling protocols for returned devices that cannot be wiped by the user prior to shipping:
Our Data Destruction Commitment: When your defective laptop arrives at our repair facility, our engineers will perform a physical format or deep-level data wipe on the SSD (Solid State Drive) in a secure, offline environment. We will never attempt to access, read, or bypass your personal Windows account or files.
What You Should Do: Because the device cannot boot into the operating system, you do not need to force a factory reset. Please keep your passwords secure, pack the laptop safely in its box, apply the provided RMA return label, and drop it off at the carrier. Your data is safe with us.
